APPAREL MAKERS LINE UP STRATEGIES TO WOO KIDS

Juniors can now revel in the glory of signature fashion lines and a fun-filled shopping experience. Retail brands such as Reebok, Raymond, Peter England, Spykar and Allen Solly are now coming up with strong marketing strategies like innovative store designs, in-film promotions, a comic gang and special gaming zones in stores to woo the junior audience.

With top-of-the-line brands stepping into the kids apparel segment with aggressive marketing strategies, small definitely means big business in a market estimated at worth over Rs 28,800 crore.

Though the existing market is largely dominated by unorganized players, some of the major organized players in the category are Lilliput, Benetton Kids, Giny & Jony, Mothercare, Adam Kids. Retailing through conventional exclusive as well as multi-brand stores, these brands contribute to the Rs 3,500-crore branded kids apparel market.
