WESTSIDE TO LAUNCH SPECIALITY STORES

Tata Group’s retail arm Trent, which operates Westside, will set up speciality stores for target consumers. The move is expected to offer more product variety to these consumers and also allow more privacy to shoppers.

According to Smeeta Neogi, head-marketing of Westside, the company is test-marketing the initiative with its recently launched 5,000 sq ft ‘Westside Women’ store in Delhi, catering only a women. Westside now plans to set up 10-15 speciality stores across India. It is also planning speciality stores for men and children where all its merchandise for these target groups will be available under one roof.
